Supporting Our Community Through Donation-Focused Junk Removal in Durham Region and the GTA.
At CHUCK-IT, giving back isn’t an add-on—it’s part of who we are. For over 18 years, we’ve worked in homes and businesses across Durham Region and the GTA. Along the way, we’ve met people facing tough transitions: families leaving shelters, seniors downsizing, and newcomers starting over.
That’s why we created a donation-first approach to junk removal. We sort, save, and redirect gently used furniture and household items to local organizations that serve those in need.
Our goal is straightforward: to minimize waste and ensure that usable items benefit someone rather than end up in a landfill.
Because when our community thrives, we all do.
Durham Community Closet is CHUCK-IT’s in-house donation program, helping families in need across Durham Region.
When we pick up gently used furniture, kitchenware, and home essentials during junk removal or moving jobs, we sort and save items that are still in good condition. These are donated directly to individuals and families leaving shelters, transitioning into housing, or facing hardship.
To date, we’ve supported over 325+ families with free, functional furnishings, reducing landfill waste while making a real difference close to home.
